▌前言

去年有幾次英文面試的經驗，過程中常常會因為緊張而詞窮，或是一時之間不知道怎麼回答。偶然在網路上看到這本面試聖經，隔天剛好在圖書館的暢銷書櫃上再看到一次，就覺得一定要借閱了哈哈。

▌值得留意的關鍵字或原則

1. 用字精確一點，善用舉例做說明
   I’m an extremely communicative, flexible and organized person. I was the leader of XXX Workshop event, and had to negotiate with my co-partners from different backgrounds and keep track of their progress.
2. STAR 原則：邏輯性陳述方式
   (S) In my role as a public relations representative, I understand the importance of effective communication and collaboration. I developed strong skills in coordinating activities and fostering collaboration.
   (T) This involves reaching out to various non-profit organizations or different clubs in community to explore potential partnerships.
   (A) Leveraging my organizational skills and commitment, I regularly led meetings and workshops to deepen our understanding of various projects, ensuring everyone was well-prepared and engaged.
   (R) As a result, we successfully conducted many competitions in the semester, demonstrating my ability to coordinate and execute projects effectively.

▌面試自我介紹

1. Start with a Greeting and Introduce Yourself Formally
   Good morning, Professor.
2. Research and Prepare
   I’m a student who loves meeting new people, enjoys learning about different cultures, and is curious about XXX. I believe my outgoing nature and interest in diverse experiences make me a good fit for any overseas missions. I’m confident that I can quickly adapt to the project’s fast-paced environment.
3. Share Your Background when Asked by the Interviewer(s)
   I’m a student with a marketing and medical background. Since I’m familiar with the concept of marketing in our hometown, I’m sure I could become proficient with your overseas missions quickly.
4. Express Your Interest and Alignment
   I’ve always been interested in different culture and feel strongly that this is a role that would allow me the professional growth I’ve been looking for.
5. Communicate Your Personal Strengths

▌面試問答

這本書中有一些很有用的問答範例，作者除了清楚解釋面試官問問題背後的目的之外，也提供了各種不同的回答技巧及範例。

1. Why did you leave your last job ?
   I was very fortunate to be work at XXX Company. They taught me a lot about marketing and product management. However, I’m ready for the next step. I’m seeking to grow my career in a forward-thinking company, so I am now dedicated to finding a position where I can apply my skills.
2. What are your peeves ?
   I hate blowhards who are all talk and no action. It can be frustrating dealing with people like that. Actions definitely speak louder than words, and it can be disappointing when someone doesn’t follow through on what they say they’ll do.
3. What have you learned from your mistakes ?
   I recently made a mistake while assisting a customer with arranging a gift for a computer event. Unfortunately, I forgot to double-check the final email before the deadline. This lack of communication left me feeling embarrassed, especially when the gift wasn’t delivered on time. Thankfully, one of my partners stepped in and sent it during the meeting. This experience taught me the importance of being meticulous in customer communication. Often, it’s the small details that can make or break the entire process. However, it had be a challenging experience, but I think that I am able to reflect on it and learn from it.

▌結語

在準備英文面試的過程中，我覺得很重要的是找到能給你 useful feedback 的朋友，而且在練習的時候不要盲目一直練，要能 review 每一次的練習過程，平常也可以多嘗試問自己一些問題，建立一套自己的 personal framework，傳達自己的個人特質與重要經歷，才是有效率的。
